The Austrian mezzosoprano Hermine Haselböck is a mostly versatile artist and known for her extensive repertory, ranging from baroque to contemporary music, from song, concert to opera. 

International recital and concert performances have led her to Carnegie Hall – NY, Wiener Konzerthaus, Musikverein Wien, Mozarteum Salzburg, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Frauenkirche Dresden, Philharmonie am Gasteig Munich, Bing Theater Los Angeles and Teatro San Carlo in Naples.

Her operatic roles include Ramiro (La Finta Giardiniera – New National Opera Tokyo), Hänsel (Hänsel und Gretel – Volksoper Vienna), Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte – Concertgebouw Amsterdam), 2. Dame (Zauberflöte – Theater an der Wien and Grand Theatre de la Ville Luxemburg), Mercedes (Carmen), Odetta (Adelia – Donizetti), Ernesto (Il Mondo della Luna), Magdalene (Meistersinger von Nürnberg), 3. Magd (Elektra in Baden-Baden), Flosshilde (Rheingold in Rome), Brangäne (Tristan und Isolde), Mutter (Hänsel und Gretel – Oper Graz), Azucena (Il Trovatore) and Fricka (Das Rheingold and Die Walküre at Tiroler Festspiele Erl).

She works with conductors such as Bertrand de Billy, Vladimir Fedosejev, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Karen Kamensek, Gustav Kuhn, Fabio Luisi, Kirill Petrenko, Christian Thielemann, Franz Welser-Möst and Jaap van Zweden and orchestras such as the Orchestra dell‘Accadamia Nazionale die Santa Cecilia, MDR Sinfonieorchester, Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, Residence Orchestra Den Haag, Graz Philharmonic Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of Europe, Wiener Symphoniker, RSO Wien, Wiener Akademie, Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Camerata Salzburg, Haydnorchestra of Bolzano and Trento, Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra, the Dresdner Philharmonie, Hongkong Philharmonic Orchestra, Spirit of Europe and Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra.

Apart from numerous radio recordings her discography includes CD‘s with songs by Zemlinsky, Schreker and Mahler (Bridge Records), Donizetti „Adelia“ (Sony BMG), Beethoven „Missa Solemnis“ and „Symphony nr.9“ (Col Legno), Mahler „Song of the Earth“ (CAvi), Schubert „Mass in E flat major“ and „A flat major“ (ORF), Schulhoff “Die Flammen” (ORF) and Strauss „Elektra“ on DVD (Unitel). For her Solo Cd‘s she received the „Pasticcio Preis“ of Austrian Classic Radio Ö1, the „Alexander Zemlinsky Förderpreis“ of the Alexander Zemlinsky Foundation and the „Supersonic Award“ of the Journal Pizzicato.

Hermine Haselböck teaches voice at Johann-Joseph-Fux Conservatory in Graz (Austria), is Guest Professor of Voice at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz and Professor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Austria). She is jury member of national and international voice competitions. She studied at the universities of Music in Vienna - MDW (Austria) and Detmold (Germany).
